Yorkshire Bootcamps has changed and evolved over the years and we now follow a High Intensity Strength Training format. Originally we used to work to the more well known HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) format but found that we were getting consistently better results when we focused more on strength work than just old fashioned cardio exercise.
From May 18th 2021 Yorkshire Bootcamps will be back to full strength and will run on:
Tuesday and Thursday
6.30am and 6.30pm.
Tuesday and Friday
9.30am (smaller session held in our main gym)
Sessions are set out in a circuit format with a minimum of 20 numbered stations with at least 3 metres between them. As our hall is 577m sq and participants are strictly limited to a maximum of 15, each person has a full 38m sq to work with!
Participants all have their own exercise mats and boxing gloves and each station is cleaned and disinfected each time someone uses it. There is no sharing of equipment.
Our bootcamps are planned on a 6 week rotation with different kit and more technical exercises added as the weeks progress. We have a lot of kit at Yorkshire Bootcamps and a huge amount of space so whether it's your first or 31st bootcamp you will always be able to train at a level that is right for you. Each exercise station will have different weights available and levels of difficulty and there will always be alternatives available to take into account injuries or limited mobility.
Everyone trains together at Yorkshire Bootcamps regardless of fitness level or experience.
Current equipment used at Yorkshire Bootcamps includes:
Dumbbells and Barbells
TRX Suspension Trainers
Boxing (own gloves required)
Plyo Boxes and Hurdles
Of course we also still add in cardio and core strength stations, but each participant must also have their own exercise mat.
