Saved By The Bell is our boxing basics session. Combinations of punches, kicks and even elbows mixed up with short, high intensity core strength and cardio exercises to give a true total body workout! Sets are run using our full size professional punch bags and participants work either individually or in pairs. Why not a bring a friend and train together?

It does what it says on the tin! High intensity circuits with a nod to CrossFit style training and utilising all the toys in the box! Battle ropes, kettlebells, slam balls, powerbags, dumbbells and barbells, plyo boxes, resistance bands - they'll all be coming out to play at our Saturday session!

Aside from our hugely successful Huddersfield, I (Liam) also take personal training bookings at the Manor House Lindley and our New Huddersfield venue Yorkshire Kettlebell Club. Personal Training is available for individuals, friends, couples and small groups in our fully equipped, private gym and I take bookings from 7.30am to 8.30pm Monday to Friday and occasionally at weekends.

 

I've been a PT for nearly 15 years now and specialise in creating individual training plans and programs that not only get results but that are also challenging and fun taking into account each specific clients individual goals, needs and abilities. Many of the training styles we use at Manor House focus on total body and compound movement rather than isolation type exercises or hours plodding away on treadmills or cross trainers and we use a lot of TRX suspension trainers, slam balls, powerbags, battle ropes and of course kettlebells. 

I first qualified as a PT back in 2007 then as an Extreme Kettlebell Instructor in 2008. This was followed by my Olympic Lifting Coach award with British Weightlifting, my IKFF qualification with Steve Cotter and Strength Coach with Mike Mahler. I trained with Eddie Sheehan of Kilkenny, Gregor Sobocan of Ljubljana, Slovenia and Absolute World Champion and World Kettlebell Club Head Coach Ivan Denisov.

As well as kettlebell sport or Girevoy Sport competition I also completed several marathons including the Sahara Desert Marathon, the Limassol Cyprus Marathon (twice), the Mallorca Marathon and many others both domestic and abroad. 

Most recently i flirted with Strongman competition and competed at under 90kg and under 103kg at several events including Yorkshire's Strongest and Bodypower at the NEC.

Nowadays I train mainly for general strength and fitness. I compete at BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu), am coached by Jamie Paxman and train with Gracie Barra Huddersfield.
